The agent of young Brazilian full-back Wallace has called for his client to be given "an opportunity" to get minutes under his belt at Inter, the club he is currently on loan at from Chelsea.

Chelsea hoovered up Wallace from Brazilian outfit Fluminense earlier this year, with the 19-year-old being instantly shipped off on a season-long loan to Inter upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge.

But while Chelsea will have hoped for Wallace to enjoy regular first team football in Italy to acclimatise himself to the game in Europe, they have been left disappointed thus far.

Wallace has played only 43 minutes of first team football under coach Walter Mazzarri to date, leaving his agent concerned.

"It is not easy. Italian football is very different from Brazilian and he is, little by little, learning", Wallace's agent Frederico Moraes told Tutto Mercato.

"He needs an opportunity.

"Clearly with Jonathan playing well it is not easy, but I hope that Mazzarri will grant him more opportunities in the coming matches."

Roma had also been interested in loaning Wallace before Chelsea opted to ship him to Inter.
