Jose Mourinho has dodged questions over whether he is still interested in Wayne Rooney amid talk that the striker is on the verge of signing a new big money contract at Manchester United.
Chelsea had two bids for Rooney rejected in the summer, with Mourinho having made the England international a priority transfer target.

There had been hope he could be secured this coming summer as his contract is due to expire in 2015.
But a new deal would seem to end any prospect of the Rooney ending up at Stamford Bridge.

And asked about whether he has given up on chasing Rooney, Mourinho was not willing to play ball.
"He's a Manchester United player", Mourinho told a press conference.
"Nothing to say", he added.
