Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has slammed West Ham's football as "from another century" after they grabbed a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Hammers were under the cosh from the outset and saw Chelsea utterly dominate possession and shots on goal. Indeed, West Ham adopted a defensive approach to endure they earned a precious point.

And while Mourinho respects the determination they put into the match, he cannot respect the football played by Sam Allardyce's men against his team.

"They were trying to win time with everything. With their substitutions they were taking a long time", the Chelsea manager was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"It was football from another century.

"They defended with their hearts – I respect that and praise that.

"I don't think with matches like this we can sell Premier League across the world. My team did everything possible."

Allardyce has already defended his team's style of play in the draw and insisted that to adopt the approach of Manchester United, who recently lost 3-1 at Chelsea, would have been wrong.
