Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho denied he was looking for any more late buys this month, but admitted he had already begun planning for next summer.

The Blues have rounded up their winter transfer activity by signing Kurt Zouma from Saint-Etienne though he will only link up with Mourinho in the summer.

Chelsea had previously signed Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah, whilst they sold Juan Mata to Manchester United for just over £37m.

And Mourinho brought the shutters down at a press conference today, but when asked if he had already put deals in place for June, he said: "No, but we know what we want.

"We don't want emergency plans; it's not our profile. The competitive objective is to finish in a Champions League spot. The great objective is the improvement of the team and preparing it for future.

"To do something now as an emergency [deal] is not the best. The players we signed now, we feel, are best.

"We are waiting for the summer to do the right things, but no deals yet. We know what we want, and we know that what we want is impossible to get in this window."
