Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that both AC Milan and Inter Milan need to have patience with their current coaches.

Milan have just appointed Clarence Seedorf as boss, despite the Dutchman having no prior coaching experience, while at Inter, ex-Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri took charge in the summer.

Mourinho, who famously led Inter to win the Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia in 2010, feels each has a challenge on their hands and patience is needed from their respective clubs.

"I believe that Mazzarri and Seedorf need time and the trust of the club and the fans", the Chelsea boss told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Let's face it, there are not that many top players in their squads to build a great team in a few months.

"No, it takes time and trust.

"I am forever an Interista and I think Mazzarri should have that confidence.

"I am not a Milanista, of course, but I respect the club and their great prestige.

"I hope Clarence can work in peace."

Inter currently sit sixth in the Serie A standings, while Milan are just tenth. Indeed, there is a genuine chance that neither may qualify for Europe next season.
