Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has explained that there is not a lot of difference amongst the teams at the top end of the Premier League table.

The Belgian international netted a hat-trick in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday, which helped his side to move into first place in the league standings as both Arsenal and Manchester City dropped points at the weekend.

The Gunners were humiliated 5-1 by Liverpool at Anfield, while the Citizens had to settle for a disappointing goalless draw away at Norwich City.

And Hazard, who admitted Chelsea are playing well currently, insisted his side are ill-equipped compared to Manchester City’s squad despite winning both the Premier League fixtures against the Etihad Stadium outfit this term.

The 23-year-old further added that the difference between the teams at the top of the table is small and that the best side will triumph at the end of the season.

“At the moment we are playing well and picking up plenty of points. We are first in the table now and we hope we can stay there until the end of the season”, Hazard told his club’s official site.

“I think we are less well-armed than City even though when we played there we won. Arsenal lost heavily at Liverpool but they are a great side too so we will see.

“There isn't a lot of difference between the teams so it will be in the details.

"The best will come out on top.”
