Everton manager Roberto Martinez is happy with Steven Pienaar’s injury progress and expects to name him in a Toffees' matchday squad before the end of the season.
Pienaar last played for the Toffees in their 4-1 defeat against Arsenal on 8th March. Since then he has been out of action due to a knee injury.

According to the former Wigan manager, Pienaar’s injury was a big blow to the squad but he is happy with the progress that the South African has made with regards to his injury.
"Stevie is doing well”, Martinez told Everton TV. “Obviously it was a real setback to lose him."

The 40-year-old admits that recovering from a knee injury and getting to full match fitness is not an easy task, but he is happy with Pienaar’s rehabilitation process.
“Recovering from [an injury to] the cartilage in the knee can be tricky but at the moment he is recovering well.”
And Martinez is happy with the attitude that Pienaar has shown while undergoing treatment and rehabilitation, and is hopeful of getting him back in the squad before the end of the season.
“I’m hopeful that we can see Stevie before the season ends and that is where the focus goes.
“But he’s been lively and has been working well. It is going to be really positive for us if we can get him back before the season ends.”
Pienaar has made 22 appearances for Everton in the Premier League, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
