Barcelona and Holland legend Johan Cruyff has slammed Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho for his approach towards success and failure, believing it could lose him the dressing room at Stamford Bridge.

Cruyff was regularly critical of Mourinho during the Portuguese's reign at Real Madrid and his opinion of the manager has not improved upon a Chelsea return.

Now Cruyff has taken aim at Mourinho's attitude, which he says is to claim the credit when things go well but blame the players when things go wrong. It is, for Cruyff, a repeat of what happened at Real Madrid and what turned a number of stars against Mourinho.

Speaking about Chelsea's 3-1 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last week, Cruyff said via De Telegraaf: "First, I think the French have a strong team with good players.

"They have good players too, Chelsea, but according to coach Jose Mourinho that is too bad. In that respect, it is the same song from him.

"If it goes well, it is down to him, if it doesn't run smoothly, it is up to the players.

"I saw at Real Madrid the way he lost the players in front of him and I do not rule out that happening at Chelsea."

Cruyff also feels that Mourinho's attitude is all wrong, especially with regard to wanting Chelsea to splash out big money on a striker this summer.

"To ask as if it were the most normal thing in the world for a striker of €70m is an attitude that bothers me.

"Especially when you see that he has attackers in his squad."

Mourinho's men will bid to overturn the two-goal deficit against PSG tomorrow evening at Stamford Bridge in search of a Champions League semi-final spot.
