Former Chelsea defender Paulo Ferreira believes his old club's Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid is a 50-50 affair.

Jose Mourinho's men have been drawn to face the Spanish league leaders in what looks a thrilling last four tie and it is also one which leaves open the possibility of a Madrid derby in the final given the other semi-final is Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich.

And Ferreira, who played for Chelsea between 2004 and 2013, picking up the 2012 Champions League with the club, cannot call the tie.

Reacting immediately after the draw, the 35-year-old said: "I think it will be a difficult game. We have, I think, a 50-50 chance to reach the final.
