Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will be rooting for Holland at the World Cup on account of the Oranje being managed by his "friend" Louis van Gaal.

The Chelsea manager's Portugal are also at the showpiece event in Brazil, but he will have a special place in his heart for Holland, admitting that when a friend is involved "I'm for them".

Speaking to Yahoo, Mourinho commented: "I'm very emotional and I'm always there for my friends.

"So when a friend of mine coaches the Netherlands, I'm for them."

Mourinho will make no predictions when it comes to how England might fare in the tournament though, joking that to write off the Three Lions' chances would be to cost himself his job at Stamford Bridge.

"When I say that England is out, I will not be coaching Chelsea next season", he joked.
