Atletico Madrid are interested in signing former Real Madrid man Jose Callejon from Napoli, with Chelsea also showing an interest in the Spaniard.

Callejon joined Napoli from Real Madrid last summer for a transfer fee of €10m and has a contract until 2018.

The Spaniard was impressive in his first season in Naples and in 52 appearances for the club, he scored 20 goals and provided eleven assists, helping the Azzurri finish third in Serie A and win the Coppa Italia.

Diego Simeone has taken note of the performances of the former Real Madrid man and is interested in bringing the Spaniard back to Spain.

Los Colchoneros are willing to offer €18m to Napoli to bring Callejon back to Madrid, according to AS.

However, Chelsea are also interested in the 27-year-old and Jose Mourinho is pondering making a bid to rival Atletico Madrid for the Spaniard’s signature.

Callejon scored eight goals and 55 league appearances for Real Madrid before he left for Naples last summer.
