Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has appeared to admit defeat in his side's bid to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea.

The Belgian is a dream acquisition for the French champions, who have been mooted as preparing a €75m bid to steal him away from Stamford Bridge after the World Cup.

But Blanc believes PSG would be wasting their time as Chelsea clearly have no intention of selling Hazard.

The Frenchman told RMC: "Eden Hazard? A top player, but what is certain is that Chelsea want to keep him."

Hazard's stock in French football is sky high following a successful spell with Lille before joining Chelsea in 2012 for €40m.
