Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says his side are focusing on ways to break down sides who park the bus.

The Blues kick off their Premier League campaign tomorrow against newly promoted Burnley, who may adopt a defensive approach when Mourinho's men come to town.

And to win the title, Chelsea will need to find ways of scoring against opponents who may not necessarily want to play open and expansive football. For that, Mourinho feels his side need to up their quality.

"We need more quality in our football. When you have matches with space and time it's much easier to play football", he was quoted as saying by ITV.

"When you don't have space and time because a lot of football is based around tactics and systems: in a very simple way, everything depends on space and time. And when you don't have space and time to play, you need more quality.

"We are working exactly in that direction.

"We need more quality in our game, and we are working on that.

"We have worked on exactly that in training, expecting a team to be defensive and try to close every road to goal."

The Blues finished third in the Premier League under Mourinho last season, but have strengthened their side in several areas over the summer, especially in attack, with the arrival of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.
