Jose Mourinho does not know whether Didier Drogba would make a good coach, but he does know the Ivorian has a job for life at Chelsea.

Drogba, a club legend, has been in fine form since his return to Stamford Bridge in the summer and scored one and created one in Chelsea's 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week.

The striker is an iconic figure at Chelsea and it has been suggested he could soon turn his hand to coaching at the club alongside Mourinho when he hangs up his boots.

Mourinho though insists he does not know whether Drogba has coaching qualities. He does however know that club owner Roman Abramovich wants Drogba to stick around at the club when he retires from playing.

"I don't know his qualities as a coach because I've never seen him coach", Mourinho told a press conference.

"He's still a very good player, but if he wants my advice in the future he should stop when he feels, not be waiting for me or the club to decide.

"After that I know Mr Abramovich is very happy to keep him at the club in every area where he feels he is useful and happy, but that is when he makes the decision to stop his career."
