Papiss Cisse has declared himself delighted after Newcastle United ended Chelsea's unbeaten run with a 2-1 win over the Blues at St. James' Park today.

The game had to wait until the second half for its first goal when Cisse struck with 57 minutes on the clock, putting the Magpies 1-0 ahead.

Cisse then turned the screw on Jose Mourinho's men by bagging his second with just 15 minutes left.

However, the game had a twist and Steven Taylor was sent off for Newcastle in the 81st minute, after which Didier Drogba pulled one back for Chelsea (83rd minute).

Chelsea then began to put Newcastle under immense pressure, but could find no way through, leaving match-winner Cisse delighted.

"I didn't play very well, but scored two goals and that is important", he told BT Sport.

"The team played very well and stayed together.

"As the gaffer says if we play all the game together, you have a great chance to win the game. I do my job and if on the bench I wait for my chance. I am so happy", Cisse added.
