Lyon forward Nabil Fekir has opted to represent Algeria at international level, snubbing the country of his birth, France.
Fekir is in the midst of a superb season with Les Gones, something which has attracted attention from Premier League heavyweights Arsenal and Manchester City.
The Lyon man has represented France at Under-21 level on the international scene and was tipped for a call-up to Didier Deschamps' senior squad soon.
But according to French sports daily L'Equipe, Lyon-born Fekir has opted to represent Algeria at senior international level.
Fekir choosing Algeria will be a big feather in the cap of the country's coach Christian Gourcuff.
