Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his team are focused going into their must win Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb. The Gunners find themselves in bottom place in Group F, having lost their opening two games to minnows Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos.

The north London outfit need to win both of their remaining games if they are to stand a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages. Wenger’s side are on the back of two defeats in their last four outings and with the annual Arsenal injury crisis under way, matters are set to get even more difficult for the Frenchman and his team.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Wenger highlighted the disappointment of losing out to West Brom on Saturday. He was quoted as saying by the BBC: "We will respond well – we're disappointed but we didn't deserve to lose this game.

"I believe this team is resilient and focused and will return well tomorrow."

The former AS Monaco manager also commented on Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Arijan Ademi, who tested positive for doping following the Croatian side’s shock 2-1 win over Arsenal.

Wenger joked that ever since he commented on doping in football being a ‘significant’ problem, an increasing number of anti-doping testers have made their way to Arsenal’s training ground at London Colney.

"I didn't know whether it was because of my comments [that the number of testers has increased].

"I don't want to speculate too much on the career of a player but he's been punished.

"There are two things about that game – our performance on the day and the fact that they had a doped player."

The 66-year-old also extended his support to under-fire Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez and was quick to rule himself out of running, should the Spaniard be sacked.

The Spaniard faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu following the 4-0 humiliation at the hands of arch-rivals FC Barcelona in El Clasico and reports have indicated that Los Blancos could line up Zinedine Zidane as a potential replacement for the Spaniard.

"I would just like to take this opportunity to completely support Rafa, who is an outstanding manager and it would not be serious to sack the manager after 12 games.

"I hope he gets support of the president. No one should bet on me to become next manager."
