Cesar Azpilicueta has insisted that recent results have boosted Chelsea’s confidence, ahead of their Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow.
The Blues have endured a stuttering campaign and currently find themselves 15th in the Premier League with just 14 points from 13 games, 14 behind leaders Leicester City.
Jose Mourinho’s men, who are not yet guaranteed a place in the Round of 16 of the Champions League, have also been knocked out from the League Cup.
However, Chelsea have hit form in their last two games in all competitions, having defeated Norwich City and Maccabi Tel Aviv, 1-0 and 4-0 respectively.
And Azpilicueta is of the opinion that similar positive results will come in Cheslea’s direction if they continue to work hard in training.

“We had been conceding a lot of goals but we have won the past two with clean sheets and scoring a few goals”, the Spaniard told the club’s official site.
“That has helped our confidence a lot. We haven’t always got the results we deserved but it’s a case of continuing to work hard and the results will come.”
Azpilicueta, who joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2012, has thus far made 151 appearances in all competitions for the London outfit, scoring twice.
The full-back also has 11 caps for Spain to his name.
