Arsene Wenger has insisted that Arsenal will fight until the end for the Premier League title this season, while pointing out that his side did their job against league leaders Leicester City, with others failing to live up to their commitments.
The Gunners, who drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, remained third in the standings with 52 points from 29 games.
The draw in the north London derby, coupled with Leicester’s 1-0 win over Watford at the weekend, extended the Foxes lead at the top of the table to five points with just nine league games remaining in the season.
But Wenger, whose side have managed to record a double over Leicester this season, has stated that the race for the Premier League title is far from over as he expects the leaders to drop points.
“The championship is far from being over”, he said in a press conference held this morning.
