Chelsea forward Pedro Rodriguez insists his side are still trying hard to qualify for Europe, as they prepare to take on Manchester City on Saturday.
From ending the last season as the Premier League champions, the Blues are currently tenth in the table having won just 11 games from their 32 fixtures this season.
With just six more games to go this season, Chelsea will be hoping to gain maximum points from their remaining fixtures to better their position, starting with their home game against top four chasing Manchester City this Saturday.
But despite the torrential year that Roman Abramovich’s club have had, Pedro, who joined the Stamford Bridge side in the summer last year, believes the club still have the potential to qualify for Europe and finish the season on a high note.
“It will be a difficult game. They are a strong team with good players but it’s a big opportunity for us”, the Spanish international told Chelsea's official site.
