Dominic Matteo thinks that Chelsea will be fearful of playing Liverpool after the Reds thrashed Premier League champions Leicester City 4-1 at Anfield.

In front of an expanded new Main Stand which meant over 53,000 packed in to watch the game, Liverpool were far too good for the Foxes and carved open their defence at will.

It ended 4-1 as Jurgen Klopp's men showed their clinical nature in front of goal – the Reds have now put four past both Leicester and Arsenal, last season's top two in the Premier League.

Next up for the Reds is a visit to Chelsea on Friday night and Matteo thinks Antonio Conte's men will be concerned.

He said on LFC TV: "Chelsea will fear what they've seen.

"They are going to struggle to play against that kind of pace in and around the penalty area", Matteo added.

Liverpool's goals against Leicester came courtesy of Roberto Firmino (two), Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana.

Klopp handed Daniel Sturridge a start against the Foxes and the England striker clocked up 76 minutes, before he was replaced by Brazil star Philippe Coutinho.
