The striker left Juventus in the summer of 2019 in a high profile move for Everton, but he struggled reach the heights expected of him at Goodison Park.

Kean was shipped off to PSG on loan last term, where he enjoyed a superb campaign and has been sent out on loan again this summer back to Juventus, with his parent club Everton finding it difficult to find any buyers that were willing to match their asking price during the recently concluded transfer window.

It has been claimed Juventus had concerns about Kean’s behaviour and the club’s sporting director Cherubini revealed his PSG counterpart Leonardo gave the striker a good reference.

Cherubini admitted that Kean has not been completely good when it comes to his behaviour in the past, but stressed he will mature into a top footballer in the right environment, one Juventus are keen to provide him with.

While discussing Kean’s character, Cherubini told Italian daily Tuttosport: “So, I take all the risk of what I’m about to say.

“I’ve known Kean for many years and I don’t want to tell you that he’s a saint, but in football, getting labelled is very easy, taking them off is very difficult.

“I talked to Leonardo and he told me that Moise had very normal behaviour.

“We are talking about a 20-year-old who will not have the maturity of a 30-year-old, but I know him: he is a boy full of values and, if he finds the right environment, he is a footballer who can give so much.

“I don’t see the bad boy we are talking about.”

Kean’s current loan stint at the Allianz Stadium is for two seasons and Juventus will be obliged to sign him permanently for £28m if certain conditions in his contract are met.
