Chelsea have confirmed their starting line-up and substitutes for this evening’s visit from Aston Villa in the EFL Cup.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have enjoyed a strong start to the new season and will be looking to keep the momentum going when they lock horns with Dean Smith’s Aston Villa outfit at Stamford Bridge.
The European champions are without goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who suffered an injury in the Blues’ Champions League win over Zenit St. Petersburg last week.
This evening Chelsea have Kepa in goal, while at the back Tuchel fields a three of Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ben Chilwell are wing-backs.
In midfield, Chelsea look towards N’Golo Kante and Saul Niguez, while Hakim Ziyech and Ruben Loftus-Cheek support Timo Werner.
If Tuchel needs to try to influence the game from the bench he has options, including Romelu Lukaku and Mason Mount.
