The Germany international’s contract with the Pensioners is set to expire in the summer and he is yet to pen a new deal, something which has put a host of clubs on alert.

Rudiger is keen for any new deal to reflect his status at the club and talks have failed to produce an agreement.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has expressed his keenness to hold on to the defender, who has been in impressive form this season.

However, it has emerged that Rudiger has not held any talks with his club in over a month regarding a new contract and is only expected to take a decision in the summer, while keeping in mind the project on offer.

Rudiger’s agents have been holding continuous dialogue with other European giants in the shape of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Madrid giants have not shown any desperation about the defender given that they already have an established partnership at the back in the form of Eder Militao and David Alaba.

Rudiger will now be focusing on finishing the season strongly with Chelsea ahead of a decision in the summer.
