Ancelotti created history on Saturday night when he became the first manager to win four Champions Leagues when Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0.

It was Real Madrid’s 14th Champions League crown and they completed a league and European Cup double in the Italian’s first year back in charge of the European giants.

The veteran coach revealed his delight at capturing the record of being a four-time Champions League winner and is happy to have a wonderful campaign in his first year back at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti indicated that Everton were not happy when he left them to join the Spanish giants last year but is confident that watching Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the final should fill them with delight.

He was quoted as saying by Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “I am a record holder, I am happy to win the Champions League for the fourth time.

“But I am even happier to be back in Madrid with such a spectacular season.

“Everton weren’t so happy, but I think they will be happier now.”

Liverpool failed to score a goal in normal time in any of the three finals they played this season.
