Garner joined Everton in the summer from Manchester United, but he has yet to make his debut for the Toffees.

The young midfielder did line up for England Under-21s over the international break though, playing nearly 70 minutes in the 3-1 win over Germany and also making an appearance in the victory over Italy.

Lampard is impressed by Garner and also revealed that when the midfielder did not feel fit he did not hesitate to inform the boss.

The Toffees boss thinks it is fantastic that he played for England Under-21s over the international break and is now of the opinion that Garner is ready to make his mark.

“I’m really impressed”, Lampard said in a press conference regarding Garner.

“When he wasn’t fit, he declared that to me.

“It’s great he played for the England Under-21s.

“Now he is ready to go.”

Garner impressed last season while on loan at Nottingham Forest, helping them get promoted, making 44 appearances in the Championship and registering four goals along with eight assists.

He will be eager to finally make his debut for Everton and test himself out in the Premier League, after his heroics in the Championship.
