The 18-year-old striker is one of the most talked about youngsters in Germany and was part of their World Cup squad.

But Dortmund have been worried about losing him as his contract runs out in the summer and some of the big Premier League clubs are chasing him.

Newcastle have reportedly offered him a lucrative contract to move to St James’ Park, but they have been facing competition from Chelsea.

But according to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, the Blues have cooled their interest in the forward.

Priorities at Chelsea have changed and they are now looking at other options over Moukoko.

The teenager is also now tipped to sign a new contract with Dortmund with his agents in talks with the club in Marbella, Spain.

An agreement is not in place, but Dortmund do want to keep hold of Moukoko.

Chelsea have now turned their attention towards Marcus Thuram who is set to leave Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer in the summer.
