Spurs are in the market for a striker following the departure of the club’s all-time top goalscorer Harry Kane over the weekend.

They are considering a number of options and Orban has emerged as one of the top targets for the north London club.

But it has been claimed that a move to land the forward will have to wait for now as Spurs have other priorities.

It has been claimed Tottenham want to focus on moving on their fringe players and cutting down a bloated squad before the 1st September deadline.

They are expected to make a move for Orban before the end of the window but they are now prioritising moving on a few players.

Only Kane and Joe Rodon have left the club, but Tanguy Ndombele, Hugo Lloris, Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon and Japhet Tanganga were not in the squad against Brentford.

Eric Dier was also not part of the squad but he wants to fight for his place and Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that he is part of his group.

The Spurs boss wants another centre-back but that is dependent on offloading Davinson Sanchez and Tanganga.
