The Hammers let hitman Gianluca Scamacca join Atalanta this summer and are now short on forward options.
The summer transfer window is nearing its end and West Ham are desperate to bring in a centre forward for Moyes.
Corinthians’ hitman Yuri Alberto is one of their targets and Steidten has travelled to Brazil to discuss a deal for the forward.
However, Alberto is not the only player Steidten is interested in Brazil, with Flamengo’s Pedro and Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo on his list.
And one thing links the strikers as, according to Sky Deutschland, what Steidten wants to do is deliver Moyes a hard working player, who also boasts superb character.
Steidten believes those characteristics are what West Ham need from their new striker.
It has been suggested that West Ham held positive discussions with Corinthians regarding Alberto but still have work to do on the deal.
Now it remains to be seen whether West Ham will be able to land any of the three targets before the end of 1st September.
