Vale came through the youth ranks of Fulham and Chelsea before he signed his first professional contract with the Blues in 2020.

He spent the first half of the last campaign with Hull City and this season he has joined League One side Bristol Rovers on a season-long loan to get more game-time.

Vale has already featured six times for the League One side in all competitions and contributed to two goals directly as well.

He started Bristol Rovers’ EFL Trophy match against West Ham Under-21 and the Gas ultimately went on to lose the match 3-1.

The League One side’s captain Finley thinks that Vale was one of the standout performers in their cup defeat.

“Thought the lads who come on to the pitch Antony Evans, Luke Thomas, Aaron Collins; thought Harvey Vale was very good”, Finley told the Pirates’ in-house media when he was asked if there were any positives to take from the defeat.

“Positives probably that about it really, that we can take from the game.”

Now the Chelsea loanee will be looking to keep his performance levels consistently good to get more first-team minutes in Joey Barton’s side.
