After experiencing an injury-riddled early season, the English frontman is picking up his pace in the Premier League as his goal against West Ham on Sunday handed the Toffees a crucial victory.

Everton are currently sitting 15th in the league table with ten points and a lack of goals has been a big problem for them.

They have scored ten times in the opening ten matches of the campaign and won their last match against West Ham by a 1-0 scoreline.

Calvert-Lewin stressed that even though securing three points from a match is the most important, he wants his side to be much more lethal.

“Sunday was typical in the way we have performed this season and to come away with the three points is the most important thing”, Calvert-Lewin told Everton’s in-house media.

“It’s cliche but it is, and it’s nice to do that while also putting in the performance as well.

“But I also think we need to take our other chances to make it more comfortable for ourselves.”

The Toffees will be looking to go through to the next round of the EFL Cup when they face fellow Premier League side Burnley on Wednesday.
