The Merseyside outfit are undefeated in their last three games in the league and they are 16th in the league table, five points clear of the relegation zone.

Everton drew 1-1 against Brighton at the weekend and a section of the Toffees faithful have questioned Dyche’s methods in setting up his team against Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

Ball admitted that he is aware of the criticism Dyche is receiving for his style of play and he stated that Everton supporters need to understand that every manager has their own style of play.

The former Toffees star stressed that, for him, the most important thing is that Everton are getting results following Dyche’s methods and added that football is a results driven business.

“I think it is important for supporters to realise that every manager has their own style of play, and not every fan is going to agree with that style”, Ball wrote in his Liverpool Echo column.

“I have seen a lot of debate online following Saturday’s game about the way we set up, but for me, the most important thing is that we are getting results.

“Football is a results-driven business and picking up points is important if we are to avoid another relegation battle.”

Everton will travel to Selhurst Park to face Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace before they go into the international break.
