Former Everton star Kevin Campbell has admitted that the Toffees were lucky to only concede three in their 3-0 defeat to Wolves at Molineux.

Max Kilman, Matheus Cunha and Craig Dawson got on the scoresheet as Wolves hammered Everton 3-0 at Molineux in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Following a period of good form, Everton have now lost three games on the bounce in the Premier League and are just a point above Luton Town, who are sitting 18h in the standings.

Campbell admitted that Wolves were super impressive at home against the Toffees and showed great enterprise in opening Sean Dyche’s side up time and again during the game.

The former Everton star feels that the Merseyside club can consider themselves lucky to only ship in three goals given the way Wolves dominated proceedings.

The ex-Evertonian said on the BBC’s Final Score: “I was very impressed with Wolves today.

“They opened Everton up at will and Everton couldn’t match them today.

“Three goals were probably kind to Everton.”

Everton will not be in Premier League action again until 14th January when they host Aston Villa at Goodison Park.
