Hull City boss Liam Rosenior has dubbed the potential and ability of Manchester City loan star Liam Delap scary.

The 20-year-old centre-forward joined Hull City on a season-long loan in the summer and he has been in good form for Rosenior’s Tigers this term.

Delap netted his seventh league goal of the season as Hull City beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2 on Friday at the MKM Stadium.

Rosenior stated that the Manchester City star is getting better and better with every passing game and believes that Delap is so good that he can play anywhere on the pitch.

The Hull City boss praised Delap for his technical and physical abilities and hailed the young centre-forward’s potential as scary.

“I think Liam’s consistency is improving as well”, Rosenior was quoted as saying by Hull Live.

“He’s getting better and better and better in his time with us and he’s going to be a huge threat for us for the rest of the season.

“He can play anywhere on the pitch, he’s that good.

“He’s naturally a number nine.

“He’s a number nine with a lot of technical and physical capabilities and speed.

“For him to play out on the side, sometimes it’s just going to improve his game.

“I think he’s what, 20 years old?

“It’s scary, his potential and ability and hopefully, I get the chance to work with him a lot longer than the next few months.”

Whether Rosenior can keep hold of Delap for longer than his season-long loan stint remains to be seen, but getting into the Manchester City team will be a tough ask for the youngster.
