Barnsley, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic are all showing interest in Blackburn Rovers striker Niall Ennis, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Ennis could move on from Ewood Park during this month’s transfer window after struggling for game time and being kept out through injury.

The former Plymouth Argyle man has scored goals at League One level and clubs in the division are interested.

Barnsley would like to take Ennis to Oakwell on a loan deal, while Bolton and Charlton are also keeping tabs on his situation.

Ennis has clocked eleven appearances in the Championship for Blackburn so far this season, but has yet to open his account.

The attacker did not feature for Blackburn at the weekend against Cambridge United in the FA Cup.

A move to League One may appeal to Ennis as a means to grab regular game time over the second half of the campaign.

Both Barnsley and Bolton are fighting for promotion to the Championship, while Charlton will be looking to make a dash for the playoff spots from their mid-table position.
