Clement Lenglet is set to stay with Aston Villa for the rest of the season despite interest from several clubs, according to the Independent.
Aston Villa signed the centre-back on a season-long loan from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Lenglet has been a regular in Aston Villa’s Europa Conference League games this season but has featured only in three league games so far for Unai Emery’s side.
The French defender has no shortage of suitors on the market, as several clubs are interested in his signature.
And it has been suggested that, despite a conversation with Emery, Lenglet still wants to leave the Villa Park outfit.
After the injury to Tyron Mings, which has ruled him out for the rest of the campaign, Villa have been left short in the centre-back department.
Now it has been claimed that Aston Villa have ruled out an early exit for the Barcelona centre-back this month.
Lenglet has started the last four games for Aston Villa and Emery will be hoping that the French defender keeps on performing well to help his team finish in the top four.
