Motherwell are trying to striker a deal with Charlton Athletic for midfielder Scott Fraser to move to Fir Park on loan, with the player’s will known, according to the Daily Record.
The Scottish Premiership side have been left reeling after Arsenal ended the loan of Mika Biereth, who is now being chased by Sheffield Wednesday.
Motherwell are keen to now add to the group at Fir Park and they are focused firmly on raiding Charlton.
Midfielder Fraser has asked to depart Charlton in this month’s window due to family reasons, with a return to Scotland his desire.
Motherwell have put their pitch to Fraser and are now in the process of trying to agree a loan deal with Charlton.
It is suggested that Charlton are aware that Fraser wants to make the move to Motherwell in order to return to Scotland.
And that is despite more lucrative offers from clubs in England being on the table for Fraser.
Whether Charlton will agree to give Fraser the move he wants remains to be seen, but the terms would still likely need to be right for the Addicks in order to part with the 28-year-old.
He has plied his trade in England since a 2018 move to Burton Albion.
