There is now a ‘major battle’ taking place between Everton, Fulham and Nottingham Forest for Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah, according to journalist Fraser Fletcher.
Lyon are in a tricky financial situation and are having to consider letting players go they would rather keep hold of.
Fulham have been leading the hunt to land wide-man Nuamah on deadline day, though Everton recently firmed up their interest.
Now Nottingham Forest have also entered the mix and there is a ‘major battle’ going on for the Lyon man’s signature.
Everton, fearful of missing out, are now looking at possible alternatives to Nuamah.
The 20-year-old is rated as a top talent and has played in two of Lyon’s three Ligue 1 games this season.
Les Gones have the Ghana international locked down on a long-term contract, running through until the summer of 2028.
He may well though now be on his way to the Premier League, but the jury is out on whether Craven Cottage, Goodison Park or the City Ground will be his destination.
